About Me

In 2004, I entered the military academy through the national exams, embarking on four years of rigorous military and academic training to become an officer. When it came time to specialize, fate led me to the Infantry—a selection made by lottery at the end of the fourth year. From then on, I found myself deployed to challenging locations, leading teams, training cadets, and developing a deep foundation in resilience, leadership, and tactical expertise.

But in 2012, a new path began to emerge. I came across an intensive, six-month tech program—a fast-paced bootcamp covering Java, PHP, computer networks, databases, data structures, and more. Intrigued, I passed the entrance exams and attended the program from January to July 2013. This hands-on experience ignited a transformative interest in technology and set me on a different course. Later, I found out that with this certification and eight years of active duty (not including my academy years), I could apply to transfer from Infantry to the Research and Informatics Corps. However, this path required an intensely competitive exam. Out of about sixty officers who applied each year, only five succeeded, with the top candidate receiving a prestigious scholarship to the Naval Postgraduate School in the United States.

Determined, I attempted the exam over the next few years: in 2017, I placed 11th; in 2018, I moved up to 8th; and finally, in 2019, after refining my study techniques and committing to relentless preparation, I achieved 1st place! A lifelong goal came true—a scholarship to study in the U.S! In January 2020, I arrived at the Naval Postgraduate School, ready to dive into Computer Science. But then, COVID-19 struck, and everything shifted online, creating unexpected challenges. Classes went virtual without the chance to adjust the material, making it difficult for both students and professors, who were also new to online teaching. As an international student, adapting to the live, fast-paced classes with limited interaction was another hurdle—but I persevered, found ways to stay engaged, and ultimately succeeded.

In my second year, I discovered my niche: Cybersecurity. Inspired by an exceptional professor, I specialized in this field and found a passion that would shape my career. After completing my degree, I returned home and took on a new role as Network and Systems Leader in the army. The following year, I advanced to managing a Security Operations Center (SOC), where I took on responsibilities that further fueled my dedication to cybersecurity.

Each new role has pushed me to grow, and I embrace every opportunity to continue learning. From mastering SOC processes to building expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) through ISO 27001 implementation, I’ve gained the kind of hands-on experience that has deepened my commitment to cybersecurity. Now, as I transition from military life into a dedicated career in Cybersecurity, I’m energized and ready for what lies ahead.

This site is a way for me to share my journey—the insights, practical skills, and hard-won wisdom I’ve gathered along the way. Here, I offer resources on cybersecurity projects, labs, study techniques, and productivity hacks for anyone passionate about the ever-evolving field of cyber. Because in this world, the learning never stops.
